The 2009 AU Winter League is a teams-entry league aimed at intermediate/advanced players and those looking to take a step up from social play. The league this year will run over 5 Sundays, May through August, culminating in a finals day on Sunday 23 August. The big prize - the famous Top Hat Ice Bucket trophy complete with bubbly to commence the celebrations! Full information is outlined below, including details of how to register your team and the key dates of which you need to be aware. The exact format of the league (how many games per day etc) will depend on the number of team entered, so this information will come later on, however team should know that each Sunday is not a stand-alone event - they are part of one overall league, so your team needs to commit to playing all 5 days. If you can't find a team, or have close to a team but need a couple of extras, you can email me and I will see if I can pair these two groups up. I can't make any guarantees though - so if can't get on a team - start one yourself.
