Central Region Development Tournament

Tena koutou e hoa ma.

Palmy's annual Outdoor Development Tourney is on again. This year's version has a dual focus;

1) To encourage newer (indoor/social) players to play outdoors; and
2) Preparation for the National Mixed Tour.

Don't fret! The development pool and competitive pool will be kept separate, though mingling off the field will be thoroughly encouraged!

As discussed at the NZ Ultimate AGM in Wgtn, it is hoped we can get more 'regional' tournaments into the event calendar. This tourney is an opportunity for teams to play more competitive ultimate without travelling too far. The Development Tourney been jointly organised by Wgtn, Palmy & Hawkes Bay Ultimate; well.... Beth, Jacob and Emily actually =).

Development Pool

This is a great chance to play 7-a-side social ultimate with your friends and meet new people. Consider banding together with other social teams if you need to make up the numbers. It's a really fun day playing against other social teams and possibly learning a thing or two, but mostly just having fun!

Competitive Pool

This pool will not be restricted to teams planning on attending Nationals - the more the merrier!
The gender split will be 4:3, to match what will be played at Nationals.

Administration

Cost? minimal - maybe $30 per team at most
To register - email Marloes and let her know that your bringing a team.
What is being supplied? Fields, bananas, water.
Games will probably start at 10ish to allow people reasonable time to get here. Games will be all over by 4pm so people can get home early. More details will follow closer to time.
